Toy Library

Our new toy library is a great place for children to be able to choose and borrow a toy - taking a little bit of the Hideaway home with them!

The library contains a big range of games and jigsaws, along with lovely story sacks and themed story bags. Story sacks are fantastic for sharing popular interactive stories with young children and can include sensory objects, puppets and small toys to help act out the story too.

We have a range of toys such as construction toys and fun role play toys for younger children too. We do take donations of complete toys if you are having a clear-out and would like other children to benefit.

Using the toy library

Using the toy library is simple, but like any library your child does need to be a member. Membership is £2.50 per month and cancellable at any time. Or if you prefer, an upfront annual fee of £20 will gain your child membership for 1 whole year.

If you live locally (with an M31 postcode) and have a silver or gold Hope Centre membership, then a monthly or annual fee isn't needed. All we ask is that you pay 50p each time your child uses the library.

What can you borrow?

When you first register for membership, as well as a nice membership card your child will receive their own lovely purple brand new Hideaway bag! Your child can fill the bag with 1, 2 or if it fits even 3 toys and keep it safe in its bag. When it's returned, simply empty the bag and choose something else!

We ask that you try to keep the toy for no more than 2 weeks so that others can benefit as well. You are welcome to come and change the toys at any time and don't need to book in a Hideaway play at the same time - though of course you're very welcome to!

To register, simply complete the form below, then pop in to the Hideaway to collect your bag, membership card and first borrow!
