Feeding local children this half term

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few days, you will be aware that the government have recently rejected a motion to provide children with food over the school holidays. Thanks to campaigners like Marcus Rashford many organisations have stepped up to help feed hungry children through these holidays.

Over the past 7 months we (The Hope Centre) have provided thousands of packed lunches and family food parcels to struggling local families in our community. We have a large database of local children who may need support over the coming weeks. We're also aware that a lot of local children are having to isolate and this in turn is having an impact on the ability of their family to provide sufficient food for the children who are suddenly at home.

Over half term and beyond we're continuing to provide a combination of support for local families including:

- Free play and eat session at the Hideaway

- Family food parcels

- Picnic packed lunch for children in isolation and Free school meals

- Providing a free half term activity pack (already funded)

We don't currently have any additional funding for this support and we would very much appreciate your help and generosity in this regard.

To support a local family and feed a child this half term you can donate in a range of ways.

- go to https://goodeats.io/TheHideawaymanchester and choose the donations tab.

- donate through paypal

Thank you so much for your kindness and support. We couldn't do it without you.
